Crazy Melbourne Weather

Oh what's new? Melbourne is the only city ever known to have 4 seasons in a day. Don't be fooled by the bright blue skies and warm fuzzy mornings. It could be a bright sun shiny day, and pelting down hail that very same moment. Like today. It was literally hailing down golf balls!

Oh, this was just to show you the bright blue skies reflected off my bowl of molten chocolate. Dangerous stuff, 70% cocoa Lindt chocolate and butter, melted. But don't get distracted now...

A view from my kitchen window... I apologise for the poor quality photos and reflection off the windows.

That's a lot of hail! And a collection of ice cubes in my black boy (Xanthorrhoea glauca). Oh what a name for a native Australian plant. Sounds like a human disease of some sort.

And more hail stones.

A new experience for Lucas. He was in a daze, points out of the window and said woowww....

We hear sirens from where we are, and hope that there weren't too many injuries or damages to properties. Best Blogger Tips

How did you guys go with the storm??? Our Magna is a complete mess - badly broken windscreen and dents on every single horizontal panel. Thank god the house came through unscathed. Now we have to live with one car until the windscreen is repaired :(

Hope there wasn't too much storm damage at your place. Caught the images around Ferntree Gully on the news. Looked really bad.

Gosh Maria, was it bad over at Rowville too? Yeah, I heard Ferntree Gully was the worst hit, and there were damages all around.

A friend of mine had broken roof tiles and gutter, rain water started flooding her house. Her car also covered in dents. She said there was an umbrella sticking out of her neighbour's roof! LOL... gosh, but I really shouldn't laugh about this.

Charmaine: THank goodness we're ok, or i THINK! We haven't really gone out to inspect. My hubby said the cars are OK although they were parked outside.

Yeah Rowville was bad but probably not as bad as FTG - the hail was only the size of golf balls and not tennis balls! But our poor car :(. We have friends in Scoresby and their ceiling caved in, absolute mess! My parents' in Knoxfield got car damage as well, broken back windscreen this time.
