Moonstruck by Mousse!

Do you watch MasterChef?

Gary and I are addicted to it. Glued to the TV at 7pm. Every day.

Sometimes, we don't get to watch and have it recorded. Last night, I watched Friday night's episode and they were making a french chocolate mousse. YES, read: CHOCOLATE MOUSSE!

Mmmmmm.... I had to make Gary pause that episode. I ran into my kitchen and whipped up a batch of FRENCH CHOCOLATE MOUSSE and it was bloody fantastic. Pardon my French!

3 ingredients:

300g Good quality Dark Chocolate
500ml Cream
200ml Olive Oil

Melt chocolate in a bain-marie, careful not to overheat. Whip up the cream until soft peaks are just formed, careful not to overwhip. Emulsify olive oil into melted chocolate. Then with a steady stream, pour chocolate and olive oil mixture into whipped cream, lightly whipping it all together. Lick spoon and bowl clean.

    oh my!! exactly like bens.. he love that show as well.. i cant believe u actually tested out the recipe.. ahah... bens says he wanna join the competition next year and he has been practicing his cooking and presentation skills lately... haha

    Nut: Yeah, really Olive Oil! It's good oil anyways, if you think of how much butter we put in cakes.... olive oil is heaps better! And guess what they serve it with???? Soaked egg french toast! *Pengsan*
